Six Merida expat writers celebrated the launch of “29,” the MEL anthology, with a book signing at the Merida English Library
Maryetta Ackenbom read from her novel, Georgia’s Hope, and Joanna van der Gracht de Rosado spoke about the process of writing The Woman Who Wanted the Moon. Lorraine Baillie Bowie, Lorna-Gail Dallin, Gwen Lane, and Cherie Pitillo read aloud their contributions to the Merida English Library’s volume, 29: Short Stories and Memoirs by Emerging Writers. Both Georgia’s Hope, as well as Baillie Bowie’s The Science of Finding Love That Lasts, are published by Hamaca Press.
